Sydney Pokorny

Sydney grew up in Clearwater, NE and graduated from Wayne State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with a doctor of physical therapy degree in May, 2018. She gained diverse experience in hospital and clinic settings with clinical rotations in Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, and Iowa during physical therapy school. Beyond physical therapy school, Sydney has taken additional courses on pain science, headaches, low back pain, and stroke rehab. Since graduating, Sydney has worked as a physical therapist in the inpatient and outpatient settings at the Genoa Community Hospital in Genoa, NE. She is passionate about helping patients meet their goals, relieving pain, and restoring function. Sydney is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the orthopedic section of the APTA, and the Nebraska chapter of the APTA. Sydney is excited and energetic to get to know this part of Northeast Nebraska and get involved in the community.
